Ooey Gooey Good Magic Layer Bars

One bite and you'll understand why these bars are called magic!

It's that time of year to "treat 'yo self," but that doesn't have to mean sacrificing your health when it comes to ingredients.  These homemade bars are a great alternative to all of the packaged holiday goods surrounding us.

Meghan's recipe is naturally sweetened with maple syrup and dates.  These bars are also made with organic, fair trade ingredients like our oats and Equal Exchange's chocolate chips.

Ooey Gooey Magic Bars

  • 1 C Rolled Oats
  • 1/4 C Dates, packed
  • 1/4 C Butter
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/3 C Maple Syrup
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp Salt
  • 1 T Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 C Walnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 C Unsweetened Shredded Coconut
  • 1/4 C semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
